Ace Crye

In Concert

Ace Crye’s musical journey began long before the spotlight found him—at just fourteen, he grasped his first microphone on a humble Opry stage in Texarkana, Texas, igniting a passion that would define his life. By sixteen, his voice was already commanding fee-paying audiences; two years later, the neon glow of Las Vegas drew him in, where he shared marquee billing with Sonny Turner of The Platters and Sylvester Smith of The Imperials.

In December 1991, Ace answered a higher calling when he joined the Department of Defense’s famed entertainment troupe. Over the next three years, he carried the sound of home to U.S. servicemen and women in more than 21 countries and territories, and earned featured roles in the television specials Viva Elvis and Night of One Hundred Elvis.

Returning stateside in 1995, Ace formed his first band, 7 Feet of Country, and signed with STAR Records. Though the album remained unreleased, it paved the way for his move to Nashville in 1996 to film the acclaimed documentary Walking in the Shoes of a King. The late ’90s saw Ace entertaining thousands aboard Carnival Cruise ships and opening for Charlie Daniels at Pepsi’s Centennial Celebration.

In 2000, he launched Texas Gypsy, whose debut CD Standing on the Edge spawned the international Billboard single “Neon Therapy” in 2001. Ace’s momentum continued in 2004 when “It’s About Time” climbed to #48 on the U.S. Country charts, cementing his reputation as a formidable artist and songwriter.

Now settled in Arizona, Ace Crye continues to captivate audiences with a blend of heartfelt originals and electrifying tributes to legends like Elvis Presley and Johnny Paycheck. As he embarks on a new chapter in 2025–2026, fans can look forward to a fresh slate of live performances showcasing his unmistakable voice and songs that speak to the soul. With new music in the works—driven by Ace’s unyielding passion for storytelling and the thrill of the stage—this next era promises to be his most exciting yet. Join him on the road and online, and be part of a musical journey defined by resilience, authenticity, and the timeless spirit of country.
